The cast of "Jersey Shore" is putting together an hour-long special in order to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy in Seaside Heights.
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Pauly D, J-Woww, ‘The Situation,’ Ronnie, and Sammie all became household names after staring on the MTV reality shore, which was filmed in Seaside Heights.
Pauly D tweeted on Monday, "#restoretheshore @MTV @archforhumanity and I are coming together to help re-build Seaside stronger than ever join us November 15 on MTV." The cast will team up with nonprofit group Architecture for Humanity for the live benefit, which will feature various celebrities, according to E! Online.
Televised specials have already proven to be an extremely successful to raise money for the aftermath of Sandy. Last Friday, NBC aired a special hour-long telethon "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together," which raised $23 million for the victims of Sandy.
After the storm devastated the quaint seaside town last week, the "Jersey Shore" cast all made statements to MTV.
Snooki, who now has her own show with fellow co-star J-Woww, said "Sandy destroyed Seaside -- our second home. It's devastating to see our boardwalk and favorite spots ruined.
"My prayers go out to everyone affected by the storm."
Pauly D wrote, "My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy, especially our friends and family in Seaside Heights.
"A huge thank you to all the men and women who have been working around the clock to protect and help everyone, true heroes!"
Donations made during the hour-long special on Nov. 15 will be given to local businesses and homes in Seaside Heights and will go toward rebuilding the infamous boardwalk.
