“The Catch” Season 2, episode 6 will reveal more details about Alice (Mireille Enos) and Val’s (Rose Rollins) relationship.

Alice and Val both work as private investigators for their own company, but their desire to help others started several years ago. In “The Hard Drive,” the two characters will revisit the first case that started it all for them.

The teaser released by ABC for the upcoming installment shows Alice’s past as a drug addict. Val, who seems to already be working as an investigator, catches Alice. The latter refuses to get her act together so she punches Val and runs away. Years later, Alice changes for the better and is now doing good for others and encouraging her brother, Tommy (T.R. Knight), to live a better life.

Elsewhere, Ben (Peter Krause) and Alice will have opposing ideas about the former’s teenage daughter, Tessa (Philippa Coulthard). After Tessa resurfaced in the previous episode as Ben and Margot’s (Sonya Walger) missing daughter, Ben has to decide whether or not to maintain a relationship with her. And since Ben wants to have a child, he may try to reach out to Tessa. But Alice and Margot are both worried because Tessa is a troublemaker, and she also knows how to kill people.

While dealing with her daughter, Ben and his partner, Rhys (John Simm), would also have to figure out a way to protect each other. In episode 6, the two characters’ identities as undercover agents will be compromised. Unfortunately, this cannot happen because Ben was just freed from prison if he could help Justine (Gina Torres) do her dirty work.

“The Catch” Season 2, episode 6 will air on ABC on April 13 at 10 p.m. EST.
