It was perhaps a non-crowning moment for the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine Middleton, as she put on a hard hat to visit an emergency supply centre in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Wednesday. But the Duchess appeared amused throughout.
During her tour to the Danish capital along with her husband Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, Catherine, better known as Kate Middleton, sported a blue construction hard hat for visiting the UNICEF emergency supply centre.
The British royal couple were at the centre to view efforts to distribute emergency food and medical supplies to East Africa, where severe food shortages are affecting more than 13 million people, Reuters reported.
The Duchess donned a vibrant red coat, which she teamed with a broad leather belt (in red), a subtle black clutch bag and a pair of knee-high boots.
The Duke and the Duchess were accompanied by Denmark's Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik while visiting the emergency center, where Middleton seemed amused by her hard hat; at least the pictures below depict so:
