Kevin Love and model girlfriend Kate Bock planned a romantic getaway until things went in disarray. Riding in front of an inflatable raft, the couple fell overboard without helmets. Bock bumped her head and it initially seemed she was ok since both were still smiling.

That was until both Love and Bock got back into the boat. The model suffered from head wounds and was bleeding. To close it, the 26-year-old Canadian model required a few staples to close the wound, TMZ Sports reported.

Painful as it may have looked, Bock still managed to flash a smile through the whole ordeal. In fact, both she and Love were in good spirits to even trek out to dinner at a local sushi joint. According to the rafting company, it was the first head injury they have witnessed in 34 years.

"To say yesterday was eventful is an understatement ... please enjoy my stories to see how we went from slide one —-> slide three," said Bock on her Instagram account. Love also shares some sequence of photos on his account.

Despite the unfortunate experience, it appears that such has not spoiled Bock's desire to hit the waters again in the future. It was a freak accident of sorts and perhaps she and Kevin would do well to wear helmets next time.

Love is enjoying the time away from the NBA with his special girl before buckling down to work. He will be the main guy at the Cavs' front and it appears he is in good shape. The NBA All-Star has had his share of injuries the past seasons and it appears he is addressing all that with healthy eating and exercise, Men's Health reported.

Despite being mentioned in several NBA trade rumors, it appears Love is mainly focused on doing all he can for the Cavs this season. There is no doubt that the 30-year-old big man can lead a team, seeing how he was able to do so when he was still with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He will be entering a period of adjustment in Cleveland. To go with that, there are still some who are eager to know if Love will stay with the Cavs for the entire 2019-20 season.
