Although his lyrics, as he himself once admitted, were a bundle of contradictions, he got his message across. Most of his songs questioned "cliché bohemian ideals that have been exhausted for years."Cobain's lyrics held dark and macabre sense of humor and indicated the artist's obsession with physiology, anatomy and his own medical conditions. However, Cobain put melody before lyrics and did not approve of journalists and fans trying to analyze his words. Also, Cobain's artwork in discovered in his journals posthumously gained acclaim as of highs standards."Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are," Cobain proclaimed.REUTERS/Anthony Bolante
