Human life is bursting with wonders and Jan. 22 is designated as a celebration of life day to restore faith in it.

It’s a basic human tendency to procreate to ensure that the family legacy lives on. The celebration of life day was initially meant to honor the birth of children and grandchildren who bring joy to our lives, but the essence of the day gradually evolved to signify all things beautiful about life.

Humans learn through their experiences, whether good or bad, and plan their future actions based on their learnings. Every person is born unique and life is all about acquiring new knowledge and shaping up as a more loving and forgiving person. Life is a blessing and humans shouldn't squander it by being idle, because we all want to leave behind a better world for future generations.

A brief history of celebrations of life day:

Former U.S. President Ronald Regan, in 1984, had christened Jan. 22 as a celebration of life day to send an anti-abortion message. During the first few years of celebration, the day was called National Sanctity of Human Life Day. The day was marked as a holiday and was greatly accosted by anti-abortion groups.
