Let’s get it on! MTV2 is reviving the classic '90s Claymation series “Celebrity Deathmatch” for a second time to skewer some of Hollywood’s biggest sinners. Literally.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show, which pits the most topical celebrities against each other in a brutal fight to the death for fans' amusement, will get another chance at life on MTV2. The show will be reimagined for a “social media world and hourly Twitter wars.”

It’s unclear what that means specifically, but odds are good that social media will be used to hype bouts. The original series ran six seasons, from 1998 to 2002, on MTV, and featured immensely violent throw-downs involving famous faces and historical figures. The network revived it in 2005 as part of a Friday programming block on MTV2, but it was canceled in 2007. There’s no word on why the network wants to give it a third run, but fans have no reason to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Despite being more than a decade old, many of the celebrities who stepped into the ring then still have cultural relevance today. To prove it, and get fans excited for the revival, below are the six most topical fights from the original series.

Be warned: All of these videos are incredibly NSFW.

'X-Files' vs. 'Men In Black'

For a period in the 1990s, “Men in Black” was the biggest movie around, and David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were the biggest names in TV thanks to Fox’s “The X-Files.” While the Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones movie spawned a handful of very OK sequels, “The X-Files” was given new life recently. In the fight below, theses titans of alien science fiction engage in a battle to the death over who is the supreme agency to deal with UFOs.

Charles Manson vs. Marilyn Manson

Speaking of Duchovny, he stars in the upcoming NBC drama “Aquarius,” playing a veteran detective investigating the early days of Charles Manson. The infamous mind behind the 1969 Tate-LaBianca murders was roasted by "Celebrity Deathmatch" when he was pitted against fan favorite and heavy metal rocker Marilyn Manson. The two crazed Mansons go at it in the violent clip below.

Sylvester Stallone vs. Arnold Schwarzenegger

In this clip, the "Rocky" star battles the “Terminator” actor to see whose muscles reign supreme. The fight holds enduring appeal that no one would have anticipated at the time: Schwarzenegger is still making headlines thanks to the “Terminator” franchise and Stallone recently posted an Instagram picture of himself as Rocky in the upcoming Michael B. Jordan vehicle “Creed.”

Ozzy Osbourne vs. Elton John

It was revealed in November that the MTV reality show "The Osbournes" will return to the small screen. It will air on sister network VH1 and give fans an updated look at how the rock 'n' roll family has grown. In the clip below, Ozzy, the Prince of Evil, goes up against Sir Elton in a no-holds-barred fight to the finish.

Pink vs. Mandy Moore

Although her look and attitude certainly have changed since she was parodied on the show, Pink is in the news again for shutting down some of her body-shaming critics. However, in the clip below she’s the bully trying to get notorious nice girl Mandy Moore to engage in a fight to the death.

Robert Downey Jr. vs. Christian Slater

Robert Downey Jr. would be the first to admit he wasn’t always the shining role model that he is today. He paid for his mistakes with a jail sentence that “Celebrity Deathmatch” capitalized on back in the day. The fight sees him and fellow Hollywood bad boy Christian Slater go at it in a prison-yard throw-down. It’s shocking how dated this clip feels now that both of these actors, now middle-aged men, have really turned their careers around.

There’s no set airdate for the MTV2 revival of “Celebrity Deathmatch” yet, so these clips will have to suffice until Hollywood gets the Claymation treatment once again.
