Disgraced celebrity pastor Carl Lentz’s alleged mistress has broken her silence on their reported five-month affair that led to his firing from Hillsong Church.

Lentz previously addressed the controversy in an Instagram post, revealing that he cheated on his wife of 17 years, Laura Lentz, who is also a pastor. The alleged mistress, Ranin, has now aired her side to the New York Post in the hopes of encouraging others to speak up.

The 34-year-old New York-based fashion designer revealed that she met the pastor in May at Domino Park in Williamsburg while she was with her dog. Lentz offered her a place to sit with his group, and the pair eventually left the spot together.

When they parted ways, Lentz asked for her number but what she found odd was that he only saved it to his Notes app instead of as a contact. The following day, they met again, and Ranin said that the pastor told her he was with celebrities. He also admitted that he has a wife when she asked if he was married, she claimed.

After that meeting, the designer did a background check on his number and found that they met seven years earlier at the Hillsong Church in Manhattan that her friends had taken her to after her divorce. During the weekend, Lentz came over to her house where they talked for hours while drinking.

“We were sitting and he asked if he could put his hand on my thigh. It was awkward, he didn’t know how to act at first. He was timid, acting like he was a virgin,” Ranin told The Post.

She claimed that they texted and FaceTimed constantly after that and eventually “developed feelings for each other.” She also said that they began seeing each other every week, although it was always at her place and never at the pastor’s.

Lentz and Ranin usually talked over tequila, and the pastor would allegedly open up about how guilty he was of cheating on his “amazing” wife.

“He kept saying that we didn’t plan this, that this is life and we fell into it. I kept walking away [but] he never knew how to say bye,” Ranin said.

“He’s a professional narcissist,” she claimed about the pastor, adding that he allegedly “lies too much.”

Ranin claimed that by September, they saw each other more frequently, around twice a week. Then one weekend, the pastor’s wife and his co-workers figured everything out after they saw their text messages.

“We were obsessed with each other. He was like a drug to me. I was a drug to him,” she said.

Lentz previously baptized Justin Bieber and officiated his September 2019 wedding with Hailey Baldwin. The supermodel unfollowed the Christian pastor on social media after he was fired on Nov. 4 from Hillsong East Coast, the New York-based branch of the international megachurch.
