Chad Johnson’s Wife Files For Divorce: Marriage Between Evelyn Lozada and Ochocinco Likely Over

It took less than three days for Evelyn Lozada to end her marriage with Chad Johnson.

According to TMZ, Lozada has filed for divorce from her husband. Johnson, also known as Ochocinco, was arrested on Saturday on domestic violence charges.

The two got married on July 4, but it appears their relationship won't survive this latest scandal. Johnson allegedly injured his wife after head-butting her during an argument.

The fight is reported to have begun after Lozada found a receipt for condoms. Johnson than began yelling expletives and head-butted his wife. She ran to a neighbor's house where a call to the police was made.

Just a day after the arrest, Johnson was released by the Miami Dolphins. On Monday, the couple's VH1 reality show, "Eve and Ocho," was cancelled by the network. Now, it appears the couple is getting divorced just six weeks after getting hitched.

Lozada filed for divorce, claiming the relationship is "irretrievably broken." She previously dated former NBA star Antoine Walker and appeared on "Basketball Wives."
