NFL star Chad Johnson allegedly attacked his now estranged wife, Evelyn Lozada, last month.

The head-butt caused Lozada to need stitches on her forehead."I had blood in my eyes, I was tasting it," the reality star told People magazine. But apparently, this is not the first time Johnson has abused Lozada.

"Chad has been abusive toward Evelyn basically from the beginning of their relationship," a source close to the couple told Radar Online. "[The] marriage was volatile in nature and a mistake from the start."

Earlier this week, Johnson changed his bio on social media site Twitter. "I'm not perfect ... I'm not a role model ... I'm not into acting yet ... Oh and i love all of that from the E to the N." "E to the N" most likely represents Evelyn.

Johnson and reality star Evelyn Lozada married in July; she filed for divorce last month after she and Johnson argued over a receipt for condoms found in the trunk of their car. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Johnson grabbed Lozada, head-butted her and screamed at her: "I don't give a [expletive]! I don't give a [expletive] about my career!"

Lozada then "fled on foot to a neighbor's house to get away from Johnson."Now, Johnson is begging for Lozada to take him back. This week, he was spotted wearing a shirt reading, "I JUST WANT TO LOVE YOU." He also changed his twitter avatar to a picture of him wearing shorts. On his calf, a portrait of Lozada is visible with the name "Eve" beneath it.

It is unclear as to whether his latest antics will win Lozada back.
