We’re only two episodes into “The Challenge: War of the Worlds,” and there’s already been plenty of drama. The first team was sent home on Wednesday night’s episode, and the elimination round featured a rivalry that was born out of last season’s finale.

Here’s a recap (with spoilers) of the second episode of “War of the Worlds” with five things to know about the show:

Wes and Hunter’s alliance

After finishing in first place on “Final Reckoning” but walking away with no money to show for it, Hunter began plotting to win the next “Challenge” before it even began. We learned Wednesday night that Hunter reached out to Wes after last season ended to form an alliance. With most of Team Young Buck not a part of the cast, Hunter has attached himself to one of the show’s top veterans. It could help Hunter get back to the finals, but he might have also created more enemies for himself.

The Troika is back

The Troika was introduced on “Vendettas,” and it’s essentially back under a different name on “War of the Worlds.” It’s called the Tribunal this season, and it’s made up of the three teams that perform best in each challenge. The Tribunal puts up three teams for elimination and ultimately throws one into the elimination round. The teams of Cara Maria & Theo, Johnny Bananas & Morgan and Amanda & Josh are in Wednesday’s Tribunal.

Amanda finally drops her “bomb”

Before the reunion for “Final Reckoning,” Amanda announced that she would drop a “bomb” that would “expose” Zach. She held off on doing so a few months ago, but she revealed the secret on Wednesday’s episode after being pressed by Jenna. Amanda claimed that Zach downloaded the dating app Bumble on his phone shortly after they were eliminated on “Final Reckoning.” Zach accused Amanda of blowing the situation out of proportion, claiming he had the app but never used it. The revelation caused a brief argument, but Jenna and Zach moved past it relatively quickly.

Leroy confronts Hunter

It shouldn’t be surprising that Hunter’s alliance with Wes has strengthened his rivalry with Bananas, and therefore, created a new rivalry between Hunter and one of Bananas’ top allies. When Leroy finds out that Hunter is looking to eliminate him, the two end up in a heated confrontation that forces them to be separated by security. Hunter, however, would later pass up the opportunity to send Leroy home.

Ashley & Chase are eliminated

Hunter got a measure of revenge on Ashley, who kept the entire $1 million grand prize for herself on “Final Reckoning.” The Tribunal voted to send the team of Hunter & Georgia into elimination over Ashley & Chase and Zach & Zahida. Hunter & Georgia were given the chance to choose their opponent, and it came as little surprise when Hunter decided to take on the woman that cost him $500,000. Both Hunter and Georgia scored a point in the victory, sending Ashley & Chase home for good with no Redemption House on this season.

“The Challenge: War of the Worlds” airs at 9 p.m. EST Wednesdays on MTV.
