Champions League: Barcelona Favored To Reach, Win Final Despite Needing Comeback Against Chelsea

The second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final matches get underway today and tomorrow, and despite losing to Chelsea 1-0 in the first leg, Lionel Messi, Xavi and the rest of Barcelona are favored to win the Champions League, which pits elite football squads from around Europe against each other.

Barca would need to beat Chelsea at Camp Nou tomorrow by a two-goal margin to advance to the Champions League final , where they would either face fellow La Liga squad Real Madrid or Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich. Bayern defeated Real Madrid 2-1 in the first leg.

Barca midfielder Xavi said the team belives the home crowd at Camp Nou will propel Barcelona to victory.

The fans are intelligent enough to know that we will be playing for so much on Tuesday and we really want them behind us, as they always have been on the big occasions to help us fight back.''

Odds-makers are also confident Barcelona will prevail, with sportsbooks bovada.lv and sportstbook.com giving Barca 11 to 10 odds to win the Champions League.

They also expect Kaká and Real Madrid to mount a comeback when they face Bayern Wednesday at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho believes his squad will overcome the one-goal deficit, noting the club is playing on their home turf.
