  • Channing Tatum had himself tested for COVID-19 virus
  • His test result came out negative for the deadly virus
  • He volunteered to get tested as a precaution measure following his birthday bash
  • The clarification for getting tested came after the reports that Dewan forced him to get tested

Channing Tatum did the COVID-19 test voluntarily to ensure his daughter and ex-wife’s safety.

Tatum, who turned 40 in April, reportedly spent his birthday with a couple of long-time friends. After the celebration, a source revealed to US Weekly that the “Magic Mike” actor offered to get tested as a precautionary measure to ensure that he did not have the virus.

Contrary to some news online claiming that Jenna Dewan, Tatum’s ex-wife, forced the celebrity to do the test, the insider said that the “Magic Mike” actor’s decision to have the COVID-19 test was his choice.

The supposed source also clarified that the attendees during Tatum’s birthday bash were all in quarantine and followed the social distancing rules.

Tatum and Dewan, following the news of their split, has agreed with a 50/50 joint custody of their daughter, Everly. The former couple has reportedly made arrangements to split their time with their six-year-old daughter during the week and alternate weekends.

Meanwhile, there were claims that Tatum and Dewan’s co-parenting strategies have encountered challenges amid the COVID-19 lockdown. The issue presented on the table was the disagreement happening between the former couple as to when Tatum could see their daughter, The Sun reported.

An insider close to the former couple reportedly claimed that Dewan was mad at Tatum for celebrating his birthday with some friends amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Dewan reportedly thought that her ex-husband was not taking the lockdown orders seriously.

Another source, on the other hand, claimed that there was no drama between Tatum and Dewan. In fact, they have been “great” in doing the co-parenting. After Tatum underwent the COVID-19 testing, he reportedly waited for the result —luckily, he tested negative.

At that time, Everly was reportedly with Dewan. As soon as the result was out, Tatum reportedly ensured to make up for the missed time with his daughter.

Tatum and Dewan’s relationship began during their “Step Up” days; however, after nine years of being together, the pair decided to part ways. Dewan filed for a divorce back in 2018, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause.

Dewan is now engaged with Steve Kazee, the father of her second child, Callum. Meanwhile, Tatum is rumored to have rekindled his romantic relationship with singer Jessie J.
