Maybe it's the company Justin Bieber keeps. When he added to his police record earlier this week by drag racing and driving under the influence, he was with a young model who has a criminal record of her own.

Bieber was released on bond Thursday after being arrested and taken into custody in Miami Beach. On Thursday at 4:30 a.m, the 19-year-old pop singer was driving a rented yellow Lamborghini and was reportedly incoherent. After he'd left a club, officers apprehended him at a traffic stop in a residential neighborhood and determined he was driving under the influence. Bieber allegedly told police officers that he had been “drinking beer, was under the influence of anti-depressants, and had been smoking marijuana all day.” is only adding to his record, after getting in trouble with authorities for an egg attack on a neighbor’s house earlier this month, resulting in $20,000 worth of property damage.

With Bieber in the car at the time of his arrest was a beautiful model, Chantel Jeffries, who also has a criminal past, according to public records. The Jacksonville, N.C., native has had five run-ins with police, including an arrest for speeding and a misdemeanor assault.

In 2011, the beauty, who has previously dated Philadelphia Eagles player DeSean Jackson and Justin Combs, P. Diddy’s son, stabbed another woman “during a physical altercation.” The victim was stabbed in the forearm, but the case was eventually dismissed after the woman refused to press charges.

Now, Jeffries, according to her Instagram account, is signed to Wilhelmina Models, a talent agency that boasts supermodels Janice Dickinson, Iman and Coco Rocha on its roster.
