Charlotte Olympia Collaborates With Bodyism On Activewear Line, To Design Glamorous Gym Clothes
British footwear and accessories brand Charlotte Olympia has collaborated with Brazilian activewear and lifestyle brand Bodyism to create a capsule collection of clothing and accessories. The capsule consists of 10 ready-to-wear pieces, a gym bag and two pairs of sneakers. The new collection is scheduled to launch in May.
Charlotte Olympia’s capsule collection features matching pairs of sports bras and leggings in her signature leopard print, and a long-sleeve top and matching gym bag with the same “Kitty” face embroidery that feature on Olympia’s ballerina flats. Other glamorous touches to the collection include the brand’s trademarked spider web logo. A gym bag, a pair of leopard-print sneakers and a pair of black suede trainers for running are also part of the collection.
“I wanted to design a range that could be worn out and about, or for working out in the gym. I wanted to add a touch of glamour to sportswear so that you can feel dressed up, even when you’re on the go,” said Charlotte Olympia’s founder and owner Charlotte Dellal. The designer has a longstanding friendship with the Bodyism team.
Nathalie Schyllert cofounder of Bodyism Activewear said that Dellal’s playful aesthetic was fully in line with the brand’s philosophy. For Bodyism, activewear is something that can be used to make bold fashion statements. Prices for the pieces range from $107 for a sports bra, to $423 for the gym bag, while the footwear is prized between $250 and $380.
The collection will launch in May, and one retail partner for each market has been chosen exclusively for the first month, before it rolls out internationally. In the U.K., the new capsule collection will be available exclusively at Harrods, while in the U.S. it can be shopped online at shopbop.com. For countries like Australia, Japan and Saudi Arabia, the Charlotte Olympia activewear collaboration will be available at Stylerunner, Isetan and Rubaiyat, respectively.
This year for the first time, Charlotte Olympia hosted a runway show at the London Fashion Week in February. The brand launched its collection of lingerie and boudoir-inspired shoes with Agent Provocateur. Besides, it also teamed up with MAC Cosmetics to design a 26-product beauty range.
