'Chasing Life' Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 4 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen in 'I'll Sleep When I'm Dead'? [PHOTOS & VIDEO]
“Chasing Life” is about to put April through the ringer in episode 4 of Season 1, titled "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead." Much to April’s dismay, her cancer is causing her to slow down a bit. Last week, viewers saw a nosebleed preventing April from having sex with Dominic, but that was apparently just the beginning of her symptoms.
In the latest episode description, April’s symptoms are just described as “increasingly severe,” but according to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, that could mean fever, vomiting, fatigue and skin changes. Any of these symptoms could be responsible for preventing April from being the reliable daughter, sister and journalist that she normally is.
Will April finally realize that she needs to tell her family about her diagnosis? Or would she rather just let them think she is being a little flighty? Considering they’ve known April her whole life, her mom and sister should realize that something is off. Brenna will be hanging out with Greer, a popular girl at school, so she might be too distracted to notice a change. However in the above promo, it looks like April is finally coming clean to her sister.
In episode 4, April’s symptoms will cause her to miss an important meeting, and George will try to convince April to take care of herself. Yet it looks like the “Chasing Life” writers might want April’s secret cancer storyline to play out for a little while longer. Instead of telling everyone, April is going to find distractions in her work.
Following her journalistic instincts, April will not back off the Leo Hendrie story (despite her editor saying that he was off-limits). The politician’s son is not thrilled that April keeps digging, and he “jumps to conclusions about April’s motives.” We’re guessing that Leo doesn’t realize that April isn’t some gossip columnist who wants to make up a story.
Episode 4 of “Chasing Life” will air on ABC Family on Tuesday, July 1, at 9 p.m EDT.
