Cheaper Apple Watch SE Reportedly Launching Alongside Apple Watch Series 6

The rumored more affordable Apple Watch SE is believed to arrive this Fall along with the Apple Watch Series 6, according to a new report. The Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is expected to launch its flagship wearable, the Apple Watch Series 6, this year. If the latest report is to go by, it looks like fans might also see the replacement of the Apple Watch Series 3 in Apple SE this year.

Sources familiar with Apple’s autumn launch allegedly confirmed to Bloomberg that a budget-friendly version of the Apple Watch is coming along with the Apple Watch Series 6. News about the low-cost Apple Watch SE surfaced online a few days ago through industry insider Komiya.

The alleged Apple Watch SE would only be available in Aluminum model, according to the insider. The low-cost smart wearable would reportedly house the new S6 and W4 chips, which are also anticipated to be in this year’s Apple Watch Series 6. The Apple Watch SE would feature a 16 GB storage and would ship with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, the insider revealed.

Unlike the upcoming Apple Watch Series 6, the low-cost Apple Watch SE would reportedly retain the iconic Digital Crown. Many tech enthusiasts believed that the upcoming affordable smart wearable was designed to complement the iPhone SE. Apple could market it to counter market rivals like Garmin and Fitbit.

Bloomberg also reported that Apple would also launch the new iPad Air 4 in the Fall of 2020. The publication’s report seemingly aligns with an earlier discovery on the database of EEC. A few days ago, multiple iPad and Apple Watch models were discovered listed in the regulatory body’s database. While this could mean anything, tech enthusiasts believe that this is an indicator that the devices' release is imminent.
