‘Cheer Camp Killer’ Lifetime Channel Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
Lifetime is once again bringing the fear to cheerleading with the premiere of its newest film, “Cheer Camp Killer,” starring Mariah Robinson, Jacqueline Scislowski, Sydney Malakeh and Andrea Bogart.
The cast of this new thriller film, which is a part of the “Fear the Cheer” lineup, may be familiar to fans, though they haven’t seen all of them in other Lifetime projects. Robinson is best known for her work as Nikki Carter in the 2017 film “Our Dream Christmas,” which was not a Lifetime movie, and is set to be a part of the upcoming ION TV holiday film lineup with her role as Chelsea in “A Royal Christmas Engagement.” However, this will be her first Lifetime movie.
Similarly, Scislowski is also making her Lifetime debut, with her best-known role being as Zoey Reeves in the TV series “Power Rangers Beast Morphers.” Malakeh is marking her second turn in a Lifetime film, after previously starring as Sarah in this year’s “The Wrong Stepfather.” Bogart will likely be a familiar face to fans though, as she has starred in several films on the network, including “Kidnapped by a Classmate,” “The Killer Next Door,” “Seduced By My Neighbor” and “The Wrong Neighbor.”
What will happen when these Lifetime newbies head to cheer camp? If the title doesn’t reveal at least a little bit about the film, then the synopsis certainly lets fans in on the big secret.
“When Sophia (Robinson) gets into an exclusive cheer camp with her best friend Charlotte (Scislowski), she’s ecstatic to show off her skills,” the synopsis reads. “Camp queen bee Victoria (Malakeh) and her overbearing mother, Beth (Bogart), do not take kindly to a newcomer taking her spotlight, so they launch a dangerous plan to get their rival out of the way.”
Will their plan see Sophia accused of crimes she doesn’t commit? Or will she and Charlotte need to watch their backs to make sure they don’t receive a fatal high-kick to the head? Those seeking answers will just have to tune in to find out.
“Cheer Camp Killer,” produced by HYBRID Entertainment, premieres Saturday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
