Cheerleader’s Father Goes Viral After Performing Daughter’s Routine From Stands
This dad may have just won the right to tell other dancing moms to “move over.” He executed his daughter’s opening cheerleading moves in the most perfect fashion from the stands, and he certainly has gone viral!
Cheerleading from the Stands
Rolland Holland went all-out to support for his daughter when he went to see the game of York High School. His daughter wasn’t a player but a cheerleader. Showing his overwhelming support for the team, he sprung up from his seat, executed from start to finish the opening cheer of the cheerleading team.
He was so rockin’ it that his “cheerleading video” went viral. Who wouldn’t find him adorable when he had all those handclaps, thigh slaps, and high kick right from the stands?
Internet Goes Crazy
As he was giving his all-out support to the team, it could be seen that other parents were quite nonchalant. However, the Internet loved him so much that his video already got 3.9 million views.
It was shared on Facebook and has gotten tons of great and adoring comments. Many tagged their husbands, dads, and other fans who share the same enthusiasm when they’re watching such games.
The whole routine was captured on video by Scott Willard, father of a Yorktown football player, and uploaded it on social media with the caption, "This guy right here needs to go viral. By far CHEER DAD OF THE YEAR!!!!!! This dude rocks!!!! GO YORK FALCONS!!!! #cheerdad #countyneededthis #tabbstrong."
Adoring Comments
Although he didn’t have any pompoms during the routine, the Internet clearly loved him so much. Comments such as, “He’s got the moves,” became very common. Some wives or girlfriends were prompted to tag their husband’s or boyfriends with comments that state, “if Oak ever decides to cheer..you better be exactly like this dad,” “Literally you if we ever have a child lol,” and “I could definitely see you doing this one day.”
Willard added a comment to the video saying, “I now see a movie called ‘cheer dads’ starring Will Ferrell.” Perhaps, the enthusiasm of Holland rubbed off on the entire team. As per Fox’s affiliate report, the Falcons, his daughter’s team, won the game. Great job for a great dad!
