Chelsea Handler Scolds Piers Morgan On Interviewing Skills: 'Maybe That's Why Your Job Is Coming To An End'

Chelsea Handler is known for speaking her mind on her late-night talk show. But she took her distinct brand of honesty to another level during her Monday night visit to “Piers Morgan Live.”

After drudging through the March 10 interview she described as “nonsense,” Handler called Piers Morgan out for his lack of interviewing skills. He then called her book tawdry, prompting an even more piercing response from the “Chelsea Lately” host.

"You can't even pay attention for 60 seconds. You're a terrible interviewer," Handler said, expressing her frustration over Morgan being caught up in tweeting. Morgan then said Handler simply wasn’t holding his attention.

"This is your show," Halder responded. "You have to pay attention to the guests that you invited on your show. It doesn't matter how interesting I am. You signed up for this job."

“Of course it does!” replied Morgan defiantly, leading Handler to land her final blow.

“Well, maybe that's why your job is coming to an end,” she said.

That reference to the show’s recent cancellation likely deflated what was left of Morgan’s ego. But it made for a memorable spat worthy of top placement in the show's farewell montage. CNN announced in February that the show would be canceled, but the date of its final program hasn't been announced.
