Chelsea Handler Spotted Out With Bobby Flay; Is The 'Chelsea Does' Star Dating The Newly Divorced Chef?
Chelsea Handler is single and ready to mingle!
According to Page Six, the 40-year-old comedian was spotted Wednesday on what appeared to be a romantic dinner with Bobby Flay at the Blue Plate Oysterette in Santa Monica, California.
“It looked like a date,” a source told the outlet, adding that the pair seemed to be “flirty” with one another.
In July, the 51-year-old chef officially divorced from his wife of 10 years Stephanie March. But six months following the split, it seems as though the culinary genius is ready to dip his toes back into the dating pool — with none other than the funny lady herself!
Handler, who recently made her Netflix debut in the sidesplitting docuseries “Chelsea Does,” explained during a press junket for her show that for the first time in her life she could picture herself making a lifelong commitment. (Handler has previously been vocal about not wanting to exchange vows.)
“Now that I’ve turned 40, I’m open to the possibility [of marriage],” she said during 2015 Summer Television Critics Association Tour in July, “even though I have zero prospects.”
But finding a suitor didn’t take Chelsea long — and she didn’t even have to go through a matchmaking company to do it! (During the episode “Chelsea Does Marriage,” the actress goes out on a slew of dates chosen for her by a pair of matchmakers. Spoiler Alert: It doesn’t go well.)
When Handler recently appeared on Ellen DeGeneres talk show in January, the blond-haired entertainer dished that she was going on a blind date. Although Handler neglected to unveil the name of the lucky man taking her out, she did make the Emmy-winning host a promise:
“If things get successful, then I’ll say, this [show] is where I announced our relationship before it even started. What a beautiful love story.”
Is it possible Flay could have been Handler’s blind date? Sound off in the comments section below with your thoughts.
