Premier League heavyweight Chelsea’s Brazilian Defender Alex, who was previously linked with Spanish giant Real Madrid, has lately been approached by Italian football club Juventus.

Bundesliga Club Bayern Munich also made enquiries about the player last month and his availability has been under the radar of Russian Club Zenith Saint Petersburg.

According to a Daily Mail report, Juventus is interested in Alex and is trying to lure the Brazilian away from the London club.

Alex, 29, was linked with Bayern last month after the German side was annoyed with Manchester City's negotiation tactics for German international Jerome Boateng.

Real Madrid manager and former Chelsea Boss Jose Mourinho, who got interested in Alex soon after Bayern showed their interests, was the first man to bring Alex to Chelsea in 2007.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is expected to be prepared to let go Alex if he can sign a new center-back and has sights on Bolton’s Gary Cahill. Villas-Boas previously showed his interest in Real Madrid defender Pepe, according to a Crunch Sport report.

Alex Rodrigo Dias da Costa, better known as Alex, arrived in Chelsea on a three year deal in 2007 from Dutch club PSV. The defender scored his first goal for the London club at Middlesbrough which was a thundering free-kick from 35 yards and became a Goal of the Season contender. The goal was a first by a Brazilian for the club. Alex has made 83 appearances for Chelsea and has scored seven times.
