Chevy Chase Voicemail: Drunk, Calls ‘Community’ Creator ‘Fat F*ck’ [AUDIO]
It looks like Chevy Chase is really losing it just when quirky NBC sitcom Community has one a final chance to prove itself or face cancellation. He recently called show creator Dan Harmon, while allegedly drunk, to call him pretty much every nasty word in the English language, and wouldn't you know it, TMZ got their hands on voicemail.
In the audio recording Chevy Chase vehemently calls Harmon a g-dd-amn a--hole and a g-dd-mn bad writer ... s--t ... stink-o, adding, Your writing is getting worse and worse. He even calls the show's creator and head writer a fat f-uck and warns that he probably won't live past 57 years old. Chevy Chase also threatens Dan Harmon, saying If you were here now, I'd f--king kick your teeth out. He adds, You're not funny ... you're OK.
Dan Harmon played the voicemail in public at Harmontown (a monthly event he hosts at an L.A. comedy club), where he said that Chevy Chase was drunk when he left the message, according to TMZ.
Chevy Chase and Dan Harmon have been feuding for a while now, and in his voice mail rant, Chase references an incident that occurred at the sho'w wrap party where Harmon apparently led the crowd in a F-ck you Chevy chant while Chase's wife and daughter were present. According to TMZ, the chant was a response to Chevy Chase storming off the Community on one of the final days of shooting.
TMZ also spoke with unnamed sources working on Community who support Chevy Chase and say that the Harmon-led chant was completely uncalled for.
Here's how we're being told it all went down -- Chevy had an issue with one of the scenes and asked for a rewrite. We're told Chevy was very calm and polite ... but told producers he would respectfully decline to participate in the scene unless a change was made.
