Cheyenne Woods, Tiger's Niece Who Qualified For US Women's Open Golf Tournament, Disses Him Through Omissions In Bio [PHOTO]
She loves singing Outkast's So Fresh, So Clean in the shower and eating Cap'n Crunch, and she regrets ordering too much Papa John's during her freshman year at Wake Forest University. But there's more to know about Cheyenne Woods than what's on her Wake Forest bio: She's the niece of star golfer Tiger Woods, and she just qualified for a spot in the U.S. Women's Open golf tournament in July. And there's no mention of her famous uncle in the bio.
Cheyenne Woods, 21, earned a spot in the prestigious U.S. Women's Open by shooting a 2-over par 146 at a qualifying tournament Thursday at the Carolina Trace Country Club in Sanford, N.C., ESPN reported.
Woods is set to make her LPGA debut next week in the Wegmans LPGA Championship.
It's unclear how close Cheyenne Woods is with famous uncle Tiger Woods, but it appears she dissed the embattled golf superstar on her Wake Forest bio.
Listed as Cheyenne Woods' favorite golfer is women's legend Lorena Ochoa -- and not her uncle.
Who influenced the 21-year-old's golf game the most? Not Tiger.
Cheyenne Woods said her mom did, because she was my chauffeur everyday [sic] for my golf lessons and taking me to tournaments during junior golf.
She didn't even list Tiger as the best golfer she's ever played with. That honor went to former basketball superstar and current TNT NBA analyst Charles Barkley.
Cheyenne Woods, a native of Phoenix, was on the golf team at Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Wake Forest University from 2009 to 2012.
Cheyenne has more than 3,200 Twitter followers and it's clear she's excited to take part in the U.S. Women's Open in July.
