‘Chicago Med’ TV Series Spoilers: How Will Manning Save A Dying Cancer Patient In Season 2, Episode 13 ‘Theseus’ Ship’? [VIDEO]
“Chicago Med” tested its doctors last week with a distressing case. A teenager was wheeled inside the hospital with a gun in his body. Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) made a difficult decision to operate on this patient even though the surgery would prove harmful for both the doctors and the patient.
What will happen this week on the NBC show?
In Season 2, episode 13, Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) will handle an extremely problematic case that involves an 8-year-old cancer patient. According to the synopsis, this patient has given up on fighting the fatal disease.
The promo of the upcoming episode provides more details about this young boy’s harrowing condition. Apparently, his father has stopped taking his son for chemotherapy sessions. He hasn’t had a single session in three months. Worse still, he suffers from advanced lymphoma and quickly starts seizing once he arrives at the hospital.
Manning clashes with the cancer patient’s father. She confronts him about his decision to stop giving his son medication. “It’s his decision,” the father replies. “He’s eight, he can’t decide,” Manning counters. It isn’t long before the father is placed under arrest by the police for negligence.
The good news is that Manning will make a surprising discovery that will give the boy hope to fight his cancer.
Elsewhere in “Chicago Med,” an unhealthy woman with heart problems is brought to the hospital but she won’t listen to doctors. Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) is assigned to treat her.
Furthermore, Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt), Choi and Dr. Sarah Reese (Rachel DiPillo) will work on a complicated case involving a woman suffering from a personality disorder.
Surprisingly, Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and his mentor Dr. Latham (Ato Essandoh) will go out of town for a medical trip. This trip will put Latham’s personality issues to the test.
“Chicago Med” Season 2, episode 13 airs Thursday, Feb. 9 at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
