‘Chicago P.D.’ Season 4 Spoilers: Episode 12 Synopsis And Promo Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘Sanctuary’? [VIDEO]

Erin Lindsay’s (Sophia Bush) life always gets messy when her mother Bunny (Markie Post) is involved in it. “Chicago P.D.” Season 4, episode 11 revealed that Jimmy (Tony Crane) isn’t Lindsay’s father. A DNA test done by her boyfriend Detective Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) revealed the truth.

Shockingly, the NBC police drama also revealed another truth: Bunny and Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) slept together 30 years ago. Which means, Voight could be Lindsay’s father. Watch the shocking reveal again below:

What will happen next week on “Chicago P.D.”? According to the official synopsis of Season 4, episode 12, titled “Sanctuary,” the Intelligence unit will find a female jogger brutally murdered in a park. Newbie Kenny Rixton (Nick Wechsler) and Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) arrive on scene and notice two murder suspects fleeing. When the two suspects make their way to a church in order to use it as a sanctuary, all the priests and parishioners gather outside and prevent law enforcement personnel from entering the premises.

Why would priests and parishioners protect murder suspects?

The promo of the episode shows that there will be a heated discussion between Voight and one of the priests of the church. The tense situation quickly worsens and soon the church will be on fire.

The synopsis also reveals that while investigating this murder case, Voight will catch Rixton in a lie. What is Rixton hiding from his former mentor and the team?

Unfortunately, the episode’s description doesn’t provide any clue about the identity of Lindsay’s father.

Season 4, episode 12 will also see some “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago Med” characters including firefighter Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto).
