I was thinking about the Super Bowl. What goes with the Super Bowl but chicken wings? And I said, 'Oh, a chicken wing cupcake, Rachel?' And I tried five or six recipes, and the last recipe when I was ready to call it quits. I think we kinda nailed it on it, said owner Rachel Coca-Dott.
The bakery makes its chicken wing cupcake with bleu cheese frosting and cornbread cake, topped off with a juicy chicken wing.
Although the thought of a chicken wing cupcake may make some stomachs churn, the idea is truly genius. After all, Americans are expected to devour 1.25 billion wings on Super Bowl 2012 weekend. Why not give a fresh take to a classic Super Bowl treat?
