"Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" Season 2 is officially in the works! Netflix has renewed the Kiernan Shipka-starrer for another run, and fans won't have to worry about the show getting cut after Season 1 wraps.

According to TVLine, "Sabrina" Season 2 will have 16 episodes that will be released in two batches. Filming for the second season of "Sabrina" will begin next year.

"Sabrina" creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa also released a statement announcing the good news. He expressed his gratitude to Netflix, Warner Brothers, Berlanti Television and Archi Productions for ordering another season of the "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" adaptation. He added that he is looking forward to exploring deeper into the world of Sabrina with the "incredible" cast and crew, especially Shipka.

There has been no release date announced for "Sabrina" Season 2 as of now. But before fans can get too excited about Season 2, "Sabrina" Season 1 has yet to wrap, with the nine-episode Part 2 coming on Friday, April 5.

"Sabrina" Season 1, episode 11 ended with Sabrina finally getting the chance to speak with her mother Diana's (Anette Reilly) ghost. However, there were no dramatic revelations. Her mother's spirit has been talking about how an unknown "they" took her daughter away from her following her baptism, but she said she was trapped in Limbo because she was afraid that Sabrina would not have someone to care for her.

The only thing her mother mentioned that was of significance was that she followed her husband Edward (Georgie Daburas) down the Parth of Night, but she never wanted to lead anyone else there.

For now, fans can still rewatch "Sabrina" Part 1 and the "Midwinter's Tale" holiday special that are currently available on Netflix.

Aside from Shipka, "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" also stars Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman, Michelle Gomez as Madam Satan, Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker, Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood and Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman.
