Chinese Toy Recalled in U.S. Due to Kids Safety Concerns
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada issued a voluntary recall on a Chinese company's children's toys after Guidecraft had received some complaints.
The product, a 4-in-1 Dramatic Play Theater Toy, manufactured by Chinese company Mega Profit Trading Ltd, was reported to have caused 2 tip-over incidents with one child suffering some minor bruises and cuts.
The recall notice pointed out the danger involved in the product stating that it can unexpectedly tip over the child and trap him.
The recalled toy with a model number of G5 1062 has two interchangeable panels with different themes on each side, a puppet theater and diner or a doctor's office and post office.
An assembled play theater measures 4-feet high by 3-feet wide and weighs about 46 pounds.
Consumers were advised to stop using the product and approach Guidecraft to receive a refund or a replacement.
