Chipotle Menu Changes: New Smoked Brisket Ingredient Sparks Free Delivery Promotion

Chipotle is spicing up its menu by adding a new item to the Mexican restaurant. The popular eatery will begin offering smoked brisket in the meat section of its protein option lineup.

The smoked brisket was first tested in November at 60 restaurants across Ohio and California through the company’s “stage-gate process.”

The new menu addition is made up of Responsibly Raised beef, Mexcian spices, including chipotle chili peppers and fire-roasted jalapenos, and finished with a new brisket sauce made with smoky chili peppers.

The hand-chopped meat is also charred on a grill and smoked to perfect tenderness. Customers can now get the new smoked brisket in their favorite Chipotle bowl, burrito, quesadilla, and taco.

“This isn’t your standard brisket experience,” said Chris Brandt, the chief marketing officer of the restaurant chain.

“We’ve created a differentiated Smoked Brisket recipe that is authentic to our menu and pairs flawlessly with our real ingredients.”

Chipotle reward members will have exclusive access to the smoke brisket menu item through the restaurant’s app and online ordering.

However, starting Thursday, the smoked brisket will be available to order in restaurants across the US and Canada as well as on the Chipotle app, Chipotle.com, and Chipotle.ca. The new menu item won’t be available on third-party apps until Sept. 27.

To celebrate the launch of the new smoked brisket, Chipotle is offering a $0 Delivery Fee on all orders featuring the new protein menu addition. From Sept. 27 to Oct. 3 customers can take advantage of the deal through the Chipotle app and by online ordering in the US or Canada.

This isn’t the first time Chipotle has shaken up its menu. In January, the company launched the cilantro-lime cauliflower rice for a limited time and introduced the hand-crafted quesadilla to the menu in March. The quesadilla marked the restaurant’s first customizable entrée in 17 years.
