Chipotle will finally be adding quesadillas to its menu after years of customers asking the Mexican food chain to include the popular Mexican dish.

Starting March 11, customers will be able to order the new customizable Hand-Crafted Quesadilla on the digital-only menu, according to a press release.

The dish can only be ordered online. Customers who purchase the quesadilla from March 11 through March 21 using the Chipotle app or Chipotle.com will be offered a $0 delivery fee.

The new Chipotle quesadilla will feature Monterey Jack cheese and freshly prepared steak, chicken, barbacoa, carnitas, sofritas, or fajita veggies folded and pressed into a preservative-free flour tortilla.

Customers will be able to pick from three sides or salsas, including fresh sour cream, tomato salsa, or guacamole for an additional charge.

“We’re so excited to answer the call from fans and introduce one of the most highly anticipated menu items in our brand’s history,” said chief marketing officer Chris Brandt in a statement.

“The Hand-Crafted Quesadilla brings so many new possibilities to our menu, and fans will love exploring fresh flavor combinations through its sides and salsa options.”

Many took to social media to express their thoughts about Chipotle's new item.

“Chipotle is finally adding quesadillas to their menu in 2 days, and I’ll be able to preorder to them online. Not to be dramatic, but it will change my life substantially,” one user noted. Another posted: “Finally!!! They put the #quesadilla on the menu at #Chipotle!” Meanwhile, one customer had no idea the restaurant didn’t serve quesadillas. “Wait Chipotle never had quesadillas until now?” the Twitter user asked.

The quesadilla marks the first customizable item Chipotle has featured on its menu since the salad option in 2004.
