Socialite Paris Hilton apparently has her eye on hip-hop singer and abusive boyfriend Chris Brown, according to Radar Online. Even though Brown has a girlfriend, Hilton tweeted photos of the two partying together in France and has allegedly told a source that she is interested in the singer.

Brown is probably more famous for beating then-girlfriend Rihanna after she saw text messages from another woman than for his music. Because of this assault in 2009, Brown was sentenced to 1,400 hours of community service and five years of probation, according to CNN.

Brown appeared comfortable enough with his status in the public eye, though, to bring out the ever-popular pickup line, "I promise I won't beat you," while speaking to a woman this year, as noted by Fox News.

Brown was spotted with Rihanna in July, although MTV reported that he is dating Karrueche Tran. However, neither the 2009 assault nor the singer's current relationship have deterred Hilton, who was recently dumped by her boyfriend of six months, DJ Afrojack.

"Paris thinks Chris is hot and really wants to hook up with him," a source told Radar Online. "She likes bad boys and he is bad to the bone." It's unclear whether the source was referring to Hilton being turned on by the pictures police took of Rihanna's face after Brown punched her, bloodying her eyes and mouth.

"Paris has been pretending to be Karrueche's BFF and Karrueche is loving the attention," the source said. "She isn't interested in having a public relationship with Chris, she thinks that'd be really bad PR given his past and reputation, but she is hot to trot for a steamy hook up or two behind closed doors."

Radar Online did not disclose whether its source was still in middle school: Both stars are 31.

Hilton herself tweeted confirmation that she was at a club with Brown on Thursday.

"So much fun last night in Cannes with @ChrisBrown & @Whittles2!," Hilton tweeted. She followed it with a tweet that read "This is how we party in the South of France! #GoodTimes last night @ChrisBrown !!" Both tweets had pictures attached, you can find them on her website.

Brown was most recently in the news for a fight he and his entourage had that involved fellow performer Drake. A New York nightclub called W.I.P. was trashed and forced to close down after partygoers uninvolved in the brawl were injured. Pictures of Brown surfaced on media outlets such as Radar Online showing a cut on his chin where he was apparently struck by a flying bottle.
