Chris Brown and Rihanna: Singer Rebels Against Jay-Z; Management Fears A Secret Album With Brown: Report
The Rihanna and Chris Brown rumors continue but this time sources have told the media that the Birthday Cake singer has warned that no one can keep her away from her ex. Rihanna is reportedly rebelling against Jay-Z and her management company, which has reportedly banned her from seeing Brown, fears that she might secretly record an album with Brown.
According to the New York Post, Rihanna has warned her management team that there is no way she will be kept apart from Brown. Moreover, Page Six noted that Rihanna has said she will not play by management's rules.
You may recall that back in February, both Rihanna and Brown released songs featuring the other's voice. Rihanna featured Brown on the remix of her song Birthday Cake while he released a new version of his song Turn Up the Music with Rihanna on the track.
These recordings from the two came three years after Brown was charged for assaulting Rihanna on Grammys eve.
Her management banned her from reuniting with Chris, but she said she'll do whatever the hell she wants to, a source reportedly told the Post. Rihanna is rebelling. She says they have been working her too hard and she wants some time to herself. They fear she'll secretly record an album with Brown, just to defy them.
Shortly after the collaboration between the two rumors surfaced that they were back together. Some have even said that Brown was showering Rihanna with expensive gifts. You may also recall that Rihanna was involved in a Twitter war with Brown's current girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.
The Post pointed out that Rihanna told Elle in its May cover story, that when there is much talk about her re-associating with her ex, but that People end up wasting their time on the blogs ranting away, and that's all right.
She also reportedly added that Because tomorrow I'm still going to be the same person. I'm still going to do what I want to do.
Still last month, Rihanna told Ryan Seacrest that she was the one who reached out to Brown for collaboration on her Birthday Cake track because he is the hottest in R&B right now.
She said the two of them ended up recording their songs at the same time and that reaching out to Brown for the remix was because he was the only person that really it made sense to do the record, just as a musician. Despite everything else that was going to be the person.
Rihanna didn't tell Seacrest whether there was romance brewing between the two but she said that it was a trade off for them both to be on each other's tracks.
We did two records: one my fans, one for his fans and that way our fans can come together, she said. There shouldn't be a divide. It's music and it's innocent.
