Chris Brown will speak for the first time since he was sentenced to 5 year probation for allegedly hitting his former girlfriend and fellow R & B singer Rihanna back in February.

Excerpts from the interview featured in CNN show Brown's mother Joyce Hawkins standing by his son, saying she was shocked to hear what happened with Brown and Rihanna, saying that her son has never been a violent person.

Brown, 20, tells Larry King he doesn't remember having an altercation with Rihanna but in other clips he admits feels ashamed of what he did.
