Chris Brown starts community service
Singer Chris Brown began his 180-day court ordered community service in Richmond, Virginia.
The R&B star wearing a fluorescent orange vest and red cap cleared weeds and debris at police horse stables for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
'Check out my outfit,' Brown said in an afternoon Internet 'tweet' and included a picture of himself wearing his work clothes.
The 20-year-old worked along with two others who were serving probation, clearing tall weeds and brush by hand and with yard tools.
Brown's schedule, including work hours and days, will be flexible, and he will be performing different types of manual labor including washing government cars, picking up trash and cleaning up graffiti, Richmond Police spokesman Gene Lepley said.
Police will not reveal when or where Brown will be working in hopes of avoiding security and logistical problems, Lepley said.
