Chris Pratt Promises Collaboration With One Of His Friends At Seattle Children’s Hospital
“Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt promised fans he would “collaborate” with one of his friends on Twitter Wednesday. The girl he was talking about was 13-year-old Makenna Schwab who was born with Larsen's Syndrome, a rare connective tissue disorder.
She’s raised thousands of dollars for Seattle Children’s Hospital, where she’s undergone 14 surgeries, since October 2014 and donated 33 Radio Flyer wagons, 36 portable DVD players and more than 1,300 toys to the hospital.

Pratt, a native of Seattle, volunteers at the hospital, along with fellow celebrity Seattleites Anna Faris and Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. “So proud of my friend Makenna! Very soon I'll be making a major announcement regarding a collaboration between her and me!!!” he tweeted to his 4.19 million followers. The post was liked hundreds of times.
Because of her generosity, Makenna was honored with the national Make A Difference Day award in 2015, the Seattle Times reported.
Makenna was inspired to help other children who have serious medical conditions. Her syndrome “causes dislocations throughout my body, instability in my spine and difficulty in my breathing.”
“I've been receiving treatment at Seattle Children's since I was born,” her fundraiser page on the hospital’s website reads. “The hospital has performed life-changing and life-saving surgeries for me. Each Make A Difference Day, I do a project to benefit the hospital that has given me so much.”
Pratt, 37, did not say what his involvement with Makenna would be or if Faris, his wife, would join him.
Last week, Pratt shared a funny video of his stylist, Annie, drying off his sweat with a blow-dryer. “Next time... Put the deodorant under the man boobs,” he wrote to his 10.9 million followers. “Getting all heated up and passionate about #gotgvol2 #WHATSMYSNACK.”
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is slated to premiere in theaters May 5, 2017.
