As convicted killer Chris Watts spends his time in prison, he has plenty of time on his hands to consider how he might have done things differently. Watts is currently residing in a Wisconsin prison after being moved from a Colorado penitentiary amid death threats by his fellow inmates.

Watts, 33, who was convicted of murdering his pregnant wife and two young children, has spent his time in prison thinking about his past, a family friend named Kim told People.

“He’s sad that everyone is hurting. He wishes he could go back in time. He wish he had handled things differently,” Kim told the news outlet.

While in prison, Watts spends 23 hours a day in his cell with only one hour a day dedicated to showers and exercise, People reported. In his cell, he keeps pictures of his wife and daughters on his walls, which he talks to and reads the bible to each day and night. A petition was sent to the prison requesting that Watts take the photos down.

Watts is serving multiple life sentences for the murders of his family and has recently reached out for legal help as he looks to appeal his sentence despite pleading guilty.
