Christiane Candice Lange, the 41-year-old girlfriend of Clark Gable Jr., was found dead on Wednesday in their Malibu home, the coroner's office reported.

Lange told Gable, the son of Hollywood legend Clark Gable, she didn't feel well and went to sleep, according to Los Angeles deputy coroner Ed Winter. Gable awoke at 10 a.m. and found Lange unresponsive in bed.

No foul play has been suspected in the unexpected death, but Winter said prescription drugs could have had a hand in the death of Christiane Candice Lange.

It could be a natural, Winter said. It was reported as possible prescriptions. She takes a couple of meds. It may have been a heart attack. There is no indication of foul play or obvious trauma.

The home where the couple lived was on the 30600 block of Morning View Drive in Malibu, which Winter described as nothing fancy, but up on a hill with a nice view, adding there were neat pictures of his dad.

An investigation is under way with autopsy results pending. However, toxicology results, which take up to six to eight weeks, could delay the cause of death.

According to her website, Christiane Candice Lange identified herself as a Make-up Artist and Extension Specialist, having trained under celebrity makeup artist Alexis Vogul.

Just days before her death, Lange posted photos on Twitter of off-road car races with Gable Jr., who is a professional off-roac truck driver.

Clark Gable Jr. was born in 1960, just four months after his famous father died of a heart attack shortly after filming The Misfits with costar Marilyn Monroe. Gable Sr., famous from his role in Gone With The Wind, had one other child named Judy in addition to Gable Jr. with fifth wife Kay Williams.

Gable Jr. has two children, a 26-year-old daughter and a 24-year-old son, Clark Gable III, who was arrested last year in Hollywood for shining a laser on a Los Angeles Police Department helicopter.
