CNN executive vice president Tony Maddox announced today that Christiane Amanpour will return to CNN this Spring to host her own program Amanpour, airing in primetime across the globe. The program will run for 30 minutes and a new episode will air each weekday at 3 PM (ET) and replay at 5 PM.
Christiane has proven herself time and time again to be the leading international journalist in television news, said Maddox in a CNN article announcing her return to the cable news network.
Amanpour is known for her courageous reporting in war-torn countries and her ability to land exclusive interviews with world leaders, and her news show will become the centerpiece of CNN's daily lineup.
