Singer Christina Aguilera has lost weight and she isn’t afraid to show it. “The Voice” mentor displayed her recent weight loss and infamous curves on the cover of Maxim magazine this month, wearing nothing but a black bra and oversized white top.
The 32-year-old “Moves Like Jagger“ singer, who is featured on the magazine’s upcoming October issue, not only revealed her recently transformed body to readers, she discussed her personal life with her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler. “I love genuine guys; that’s why I pretty much stay away from celebrities,” said Aguilera, regarding Rutler, a production assistant, whom she has been linked to since 2010. “I don’t care about money, because, trust me, I can support myself,” she said.
Despite sporting barely-there attire for the magazine, Aguilera claims being sexual isn’t her forte. “I'm such a down-to-earth girl. I'm comfortable in just a jersey and boy's underwear,” she said. “Trying too hard to be sexy is the worst thing you can do. Sexiness should be effortless."
Aguilera last showed off her weight loss during an NBC promotional event for “The Voice” in late July. The singer, who sported a hot pink mini-dress on the red carpet, lost an estimated 20 pounds through strict dieting and exercise, according to her personal trainer.
The Grammy award-winning singer first commented on her weight gain following her divorce from Jordon Bratman, a music marketer, in 2010. The singer revealed during an interview with Marie Claire magazine that despite receiving public backlash for her change in appearance, her main concern remained her son with Bratman, Max Liron, now 5. "I've been through my highs, I've been through my lows; I've been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too thin. Being bigger,” she said. “I've been criticized for being on both sides of the scale. It's noise I block out automatically. I love my body. My boyfriend loves my body. My son is healthy and happy, so that's all that matters to me.”
The season five premiere of "The Voice" airs Monday, Sept. 23 on NBC.
