Christmas Abbott’s Foot Hardware Removed 6 Months After ‘Big Brother’ Accident
“Big Brother” Season 19 third placer, Christmas Abbott, just had her foot hardware removed.
The North Carolina native updated her fans on Instagram regarding the status of her foot six months after getting insured inside the house.
Christmas revealed that after suffering from 10 broken bones, a severed tendon and a severed nerve, the hardware placed inside her foot has finally been removed.
During the first few weeks of the hit CBS reality TV competition, Christmas and fellow houseguest Jason Dent clowned around in the pool area. Jason carried Christmas on his shoulder, and the two of them fell to the ground after running nonstop.
Following the incident, Christmas told Jason that she couldn’t move because she was in so much pain. The male houseguests had to carry her inside the Diary Room, and she was advised by the staff of “Big Brother” to immediately get checked.
After consulting with her doctor, Christmas told her fellow houseguests that she needed to wear a cast. She was given the option to beg out of the competition or to stay, but she would be at an obvious disadvantage.
Christmas decided to stay inside the house and competed with the other houseguests. Despite her injury, she still managed to make it to the top three. After leaving the house, Christmas regularly updated her social media followers about her foot.
In her latest post, she clarified that she and Jason have become good friends outside the house. Some of her fans and the fans of the show blamed Jason for what happened to Christmas. But the 35-year-old cross fit athlete clarified that what happened in September was an accident, and Jason didn’t want to hurt her intentionally.
Meanwhile, despite her injury, Christmas returned to her “normal” life after “Big Brother.” She regularly shared photos and videos of her workout routine, as well as vacations, endorsements and photo shoots.
