‘Christmas By Chance’ Lifetime Movie Premiere: Trailer, Cast, Synopsis

Lifetime’s “It’s A Wonderful Lifetime” programming event continues tonight with the premiere of “Christmas by Chance,” starring Winny Clarke and Jacob Blair.

The film will be a treat for fans, who may recognize Blair, but are potentially unfamiliar with the entire cast, as this will be the first time some appear on the network. While Blair did previously hold a role in the network’s “Grounded for Christmas,” he is best known for his roles in recent years on Hallmark, including in “Christmas Next Door,” “A Veteran’s Christmas” and “A Winter Getaway.”

As for Clarke, she will be a new face to Lifetime fans entirely. Her previous roles include “Santa’s Castle” and “Home for Harvest,” as well as acting as Cassidy on “Swerve.”

Celeste Desjardins (“Christmas Wedding Planner”) also stars.

“Chance Charleswood (Clarke) owns a struggling gift shop called “By Chance Gifts.” As the Christmas shopping season approaches, Chance is hired by William Richards (Blair), a wealthy and popular entrepreneur, to help him organize the perfect proposal for his girlfriend, Leyla Brooks (Desjardins),” a synopsis reads. “When Chance needs to get closer to Leyla to find out what she likes, they devise a plan to have her attend their Christmas party as an old friend of the family.”

However, as the two start making plans to make a perfect proposal, things keep happening which lead to both—and Leyla—to question what the future really holds.

“Chance and William continue to spend more time together with the hopes of devising the perfect proposal, but Leyla does not seem to be ready for marriage and each plan seems to fall apart,” the synopsis continues. “As Chance and William get to know each other more, they begin to bring out the best in one another and are able to find their true selves along the way.”

“Christmas by Chance” airs Thursday at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
