‘Christmas A La Mode’ Lifetime Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
The holiday joy continues on Lifetime with the newest debut to the It’s a Wonderful Lifetime lineup. The latest film is “Christmas A La Mode,” starring Katie Leclerc and Ryan Cooper.
Both actors are making their first foray into the world of Lifetime Christmas movies with this film, which premieres Friday, but that doesn’t mean fans won’t recognize them from other projects. Leclerc rose to fame and became a household name during her time on Freeform’s “Switched at Birth,” but she has forayed into holiday films as well before. She had a co-starring role in the 2016 film “Holiday Breakup.”
Cooper, meanwhile, will also be making his holiday debut in this Lifetime movie, but may be recognized from his roles on TV shows like “Day 5” and “Confess.”
So what can fans expect when these two get together for their big holiday film debut? Plenty of holiday spirit and a little bit of romance of course!
“Since her father passed away, Emily (Leclerc) has been running her family’s dairy farm with the help of her mother and best friend. But this Christmas the farm has fallen on hard times so Emily’s sister, Dorothy—who is part owner with Emily—and her handsome business partner, Charlie (Cooper), show up with a proposition to sell the farm,” a synopsis reads.
However, Emily won’t be deterred when it comes to saving her family’s business and her father’s legacy, and with Charlie’s help, she will find a way to try and get the miracle she needs.
“Emily comes up with an ingenious plan to buy out her sister’s shares and hold an online holiday ice cream flavor contest that goes viral with the help of a key ingredient, Charlie’s amazing apple pie,” the synopsis says. “Christmas a la Mode ice cream is born! Still, as the Christmas Eve deadline for the buyout approaches, Emily needs a Christmas miracle to save the farm and her father’s legacy in time for a happy Christmas.”
Kathy Harum and Jennifer Ellis also star.
“Christmas A La Mode” airs Friday at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
