Christmas TV Schedule 2016: Over 60 Holiday Movies And Specials To Watch This Year
After you gather around the Christmas tree, unwrap the presents and eat your weight in cookies, many families find themselves in front of the TV. Whether you’re looking for background noise, something to keep the kids entertained or a movie that lets you avoid talking about politics, there is something holiday-themed on TV for you on Dec. 25.
Networks are pulling out their best holiday movies on Christmas Day, but TV shows are joining the fun too. “Doctor Who” and “When the Heart Calls” are both airing new holiday episodes. Many networks will air reruns of shows’ Christmas specials. Of course, that’s in addition to the standard “A Christmas Story” and “Love Actually” showings.
