Ciara-Russell Wilson Wedding Photos: ‘Body Party’ Singer And New Husband Share First Picture From Ceremony
Meet the Wilsons! Ciara and Russell Wilson took to Instagram to share the first photo from their fairytale wedding. In the picture, taken after the couple said their “I dos,” Ciara and her new husband are seen with broad smiles on their faces as they make their way down the aisle. Ciara is wearing a long white lace gown, while Wilson is donning a sharp black tuxedo.
Ciara and Wilson tied the knot in front of about 100 guests at the Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England on Wednesday. Among those in attendance was singer Jennifer Hudson and her husband David Otunga, as well as Kelly Rowland and LaLa Anthony, who both served as bridesmaids.
A source told E! News that Wilson and Ciara’s nuptials were very traditional and “heartfelt.” The insider dished that the couple’s pastor shared “enlightening” words, and Ciara and Wilson both said something sweet about each other during the ceremony. “Both of them were extremely nervous,” the source said.
As for their first kiss as husband and wife, the source told E! that it was “very” passionate. “It was not a quick kiss. They were locked,” the insider said. “Everyone got so excited. [There] was not a dry eye in the room.”
For the wedding, Ciara wore a custom made Roberto Cavalli gown, designed by the label’s creative director Peter Dundas. Wilson, and Ciara’s young son Future Zahir Jr., wore Giorgio Armani Made to Measure. The bridesmaids were all decked out in custom black gowns by Michael Costello.
The Seattle Seahawks player and the “Body Party” singer announced their engagement in March by posting a sweet video of Ciara giggling and flashing her giant diamond ring for the camera. She captioned the video, “God Is So Good! I’m So Grateful For You @DangeRussWilson. You Are Truly Heaven Sent, and I’m Looking Forward To Spending Forever With You.” Wilson shared the same video writing that he knew since “Day 1” that he was going to marry Ciara.
