Citi sells first LNG cargo to GdF Suez - sources
NEW YORK - Citigroup Inc has sold its first ever liquefied natural gas cargo to GdF Suez for potential offload in the United States, trade sources said Thursday.
Citi bought the cargo in August from Port Fortin LNG Exports in Trinidad, marking Citi's entry into the LNG spot market. The cargo has since been anchored off Trinidad.
The cargo, in the Golar Arctic LNG tanker, could be offloaded at GdF Suez's Everett LNG import terminal in Boston in the coming months, sources said.
Citi declined to comment. (Reporting by Edward McAllister; Editing by Walter Bagley)
