Claudia Tillery, New York City School Teacher, Charged with Raping Boy, 14

Claudia Tillery has been arrested and charged with raping a young boy during their two-year-long intimate relationship, according to the New York Daily News and other sources. Police from the 77th Precinct arrested the 42-year-old, sixth-grade teacher at her home in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, where she lives with her underage son and daughter, the paper stated.

The victim attends Middle School 35 and is sixth grade, where Tillery works. He came forward after deciding to end the relationship, the paper reported.

Tillary and the boy apparently did not have sex at the school itself, according to WABC-TV. The Department of Education said that the woman has been a teacher at the school since 1996, reported NY1
