‘Claws’ Season 1 Spoilers: Desna And Jen Beg Bryce Not To Kill Dr. Ken In Episode 5 Sneak Peek

Desna (Niecy Nash) and Jen (Jenn Lyon) are able to stop Bryce (Kevin Rankin) from killing Dr. Ken (Jason Antoon) in Season 1, episode 5 of “Claws.”

In a sneak peek from the upcoming episode, Desna and Jen catch up with Bryce just in time before he can shoot Dr. Ken to death.

“Hey, babe. He didn’t do it!” Jen tells her husband.

“Yes, he did,” replies Bryce, who has been itching to seek revenge on the person who murdered his brother, Roller (Jack Kesy).

“Bryce, listen to your wife,” Desna pleads. “Dr. Ken didn’t kill Roller. He was with me that night. Bryce, he only got the gun because he was afraid of being robbed [again].”

When Bryce pointed out that Dr. Ken had Roller’s pass codes, Desna answers: “Everybody did [have Roller’s pass codes]. Your brother had a big mouth.”

Still unconvinced, Bryce shuts Desna up. But that’s when Jen starts begging her husband. “OK honey baby, take a breath. You don’t wanna do this. You think about the kids.”

But Bryce says that killing Dr. Ken is his way out from every crazy things that had happened recently. “I have to. This is my way out,” says Bryce.

Desna then stands between Bryce’s gun and Dr. Ken, and begins pleading. “Bryce, we are not murderers, OK?” Desna tells him, hoping that he will yield his gun. “This is not you. You’re an abundance life coach. You inspire football players and addicts. Listen Bryce, you’re not gonna be able to live with yourself if you do this. Trust me, Dr. Ken didn’t kill Roller. You gotta believe me. I’m begging you. Think about the girls.”

At the end of the sneak peek, Bryce ultimately lets Desna take his gun and instantly breaks down to his wife.

Elsewhere in the upcoming episode, according to the installment’s synopsis, Dean (Harold Perrineau) sees a disturbing billboard ad that hits too close to home, leaving Desna to cope with the dark aftermath. It’s unclear what the ad is, but could it be something related to the Coombses?

In one of the first scenes in Season 1, episode 4, Dean had an anxiety attack after he saw a photo of the Coombses on the cover of a magazine. Shortly thereafter, it was revealed that the Coombses were actually Desna and Dean’s former foster parents, and apparently, the couple didn’t treat the siblings well when they were in their custody.

Also in Season 1, episode 5, Desna and Virginia are forced to enlist Polly’s (Carrie Preston) help to rid the world of “two horrible birds” from Desna’s past. Are these “birds” the Coombses?
