‘Claws’ Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 7 Synopsis, Trailer Released; What Will Happen In ‘Escape’?

The rift between Desna (Niecy Nash) and Jennifer (Jenn Lyon) deepens in Season 1, episode 7 of “Claws.”

The synopsis for the upcoming episode reveals that the aftermath of last installment’s nail-design competition finds Desna having hope that she can escape Uncle Daddy’s (Dean Norris) shadow. But can Desna really get out of Uncle Daddy’s grasp when her best friend Jennifer just accepted a mansion from the leader of the Dixie Mafia?

In the trailer for this week’s episode, Desna visits Jennifer at her new house to convince her to return to the nail salon after she seemingly skips work.

“I need you by my side,” Desna tells Jennifer.

But Jennifer, who found out at the end of last episode that Desna had actually pinned Roller’s (Jack Kesy) murder to the Coombses, appears to have made up her mind. “I’m done,” Jennifer replies conceitedly, much to Desna’s annoyance.

Later in the trailer, Desna and Jennifer are seen coming head to head again, but this time, in front of their closest friends Polly (Carries Preston) and Quiet Ann (Judy Reyes).

“You’re the only one who hasn’t paid the price for what you did!” Jennifer angrily tells Desna.

Meanwhile, as if Desna’s drama with Jennifer isn’t too much to deal with, the nail salon owner finds out that Virginia (Karrueche Tran) gets a little intimate with Dean (Harold Perrineau).

“What the hell is wrong with you? He is innocent. You can break his heart,” Desna tells Virginia in the trailer as a snippet of Virginia kissing Dean is shown.

Also seen in the trailer were quick shots of Dean punching his trainer Monty (Arturo Del Puerto) in the face, Roller (Jack Kesy) attending Gladys’ art show, and Gladys being violently upset after her artwork doesn’t seemingly get the recognition she thinks it deserves.

Will Roller finally manage to get away from Gladys and be reunited with Uncle Daddy in this week’s episode? How will Desna and her crew react when they find out that Roller is actually alive?
