Cleveland Cavaliers Reportedly Join Tight Race For Cam Reddish
KEY POINTS
- The Cavaliers are reportedly the latest team to take interest in Cam Reddish
- The Knicks may consider a valuable trade pieces before letting go of
- The Knicks are said interested in dealing for Grayson Allen, Malik Beasley and Eric Gordon
The New York Knicks are projected to move Cam Reddish, someone who has hardly gotten the opportunity to showcase what he can do for the team.
Hence, it comes as no surprise that the 10th overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft is one of the names being floated as likely to be moved.
Based on the rumor mill, there are multiple teams interested in acquiring the services of the 6-foot-7 forward.
Among the teams linked to Reddish include the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks.
Now, there is allegedly a new team in the mix in the form of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
To possibly seal the deal, the Cavs are reportedly ready to offer a second-round draft pick.
But other than that, players who could be included in the deal are Cedi Osman and Dylan Windler to ensure that they remain below the tax line.
While that would make sense, there is no telling if the Knicks would be interested in taking in either Osman or Windler as part of the deal.
Of the two players, Osman could make sense, especially if the Knicks are looking to add more players to its second unit.
This season, the 27-year-old has played in 53 games, averaging 9.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
He could be an interesting addition and someone notorious for having big games once he finds his groove.
As for Windler, he has appeared in only 50 games and normed 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in a meager nine minutes per outing.
Given the performance of Osman and Windler, the former would seem more of a plausible choice for the Knicks if a deal involving Reddish were to materialize.
It should be noted that the Knicks have shown interest in some other players. That list includes Grayson Allen, Malik Beasley, and Eric Gordon.
New York is aware that they can hone up their roster with the right player they prefer in any exchange.
Reddish has been in the trade rumor mill for quite some time now, but no agreement has materialized.
With the NBA trade deadline just days away, it will be interesting if the trade trigger will be pulled.
